Brooks Woman’s Club

In 1921, nineteen civic-minded women joined together to form the Brooks Woman's Club. The club was active in local events and became a member the Georgia Federation of Women’s Clubs. Over the past 99 years, the club has sponsored many charitable events and civic improvements that have benefited the town of Brooks and Fayette County. The club is a non-denominational, non-partisan, philanthropic organization dedicated to the enrichment of the community and its membership.

Meetings are held the first Thursday of the month September through May. The meeting location is Hardy Hall at 113 Church Alley in downtown Brooks, Georgia. Meetings begin at 6:30pm with formal club business and concludes with refreshments and fellowship.

BWC currently sponsors an annual Plant Sale in the spring, selling locally grown perennials, and works annually with the TOB to provide a Christmas in the Country celebration which includes a Christmas Tree lighting, caroling and a visit from Santa.

Please take the opportunity to join us in working with other women to promote the social, economic and physical needs of our community while meeting new friends and sharing common interests. By joining us, you will have the opportunity to work with other women to improve the social, cultural and physical needs in your city or town. In so doing, you will meet and make new friends, expand your knowledge of the needs in your community, and become a better citizen of your community.
